Why Did It Have To Be Me! Movie or TV Special Version..
I like this song very much But I was wanting to know What version do you like better
Frida And Bjorns Version Abba The Movie or ABBA On ABBAdabbado?
The Movie version has a heavier sound to it and the earlier version is ABBA and I like it as well.
I guess you really can't compare them both BUT do you have a favourite.
Or are you like me and like both.

Gimme the Movie version any time! Both musically and visually!
However, I must say the live Abbadabbadoo version is great as well, especially because I am a fan of live recordings - this one sounds just like on the record.

It sounds just like the record because ABBA were just miming to the record, which I'm sure you already knew.
The record sounded fine, but like you, I really prefer the "live", Movie version.

There are two live recordings in Abbadabbadoo - Dum dum diddle and Why did it have to be me. I remember reading some place that Abba were asked to do some live singing for the programme and they did. As far as I know, these two weren't mimed. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

No way were they mimed! They were both sung live, You can tell that.
It even states in the booklet by the guy that made the TV Show and Carl Magnus Palm they were sung live these 2 tracks.
So that is why they are very special.

OK, I stand corrected then. I haven't watched it in a while, if you can believe that. ABBA mimed so many of their TV appearances I incorrectly assumed that this was just another one without watching it first. ( The ONE time I don't check before shooting off my mouth...!)

Hope I did not offend you Daniel, please accept my appologies if I did.
But I can understand where you are coming from. ABBA miming to so many songs, even there so called live Album was a touched up studio job, so to speak.
But it is nice to finally see ABBA live with these 2 songs, I think it was a shame that not more were recorded.

Maxi (and Ivana),
By all means thank you for setting the record straight. You don't have to apologize for being knowledgeable and accurate!

I like them both, but i think i prefer The Move version becaue it is live, whereas on the abbadabbadoo version they are miming. But the performances are both great.

Yes, both versions sound well.
The Movie-Version is very interesting, because of the Frida-solos. I think she had really much fun, when she performed it. I really like it.
The ABBA-dabba-doo-version is fantastic, too. I like it a bit more because the complete group is acting, like in the studio version.

Both versions are live with some studio help afterwards and I prefer the ABBADabbaDoo version.
