My wife was in a meeting last week with another doctor who had just returned with his family from the famous Ice Hotel in Sweden, which has been built of ice each year for eight years. He told her that it was the experience of a lifetime. They spent one night there and had a lot of fun.

It is 200 kilometers north of the Artic Circle, so no risk of melting early this year!

I have been to the Ice Hotel. I went last year while on holiday in Lapland. If I can work out how to post some pictures I will do so. It really is a fantastic experience and not to be missed. Once in a lifetime. I have really great memories that will stay with me forever. :wink:

There was a programme on not so long ago , on the Preparation for the ice hotel, the artistes (sculpters) and general decoration of the hotel

its become quite common knowledge over here that Sweden has an Ice Hotel

Including this christmas there was an advert for Marks and Spencers (showing an Ice Hotel with shirley bassey singing (better get this part started)
