other news from austria:
photos of the leader of the freedom party (H.J. Strache) were published, which show that he took part in so called "wehr sport übungen". This actions fall under the Act against Re-activity of nationalsocialism. (Which is not a big surprise)
Tomorrow the new austrian newspaper "Österreich" is going to publish photos of H.J. which show him using a forbidden salute of german neonazis.
The new chancelor of austria (Fredi Gusi) from austria's social-democrats
is of the opinion that H.J. did nothing wrong but only sins in his youth...
This shows the actual condition of austria and his society.

zuerst, danke fuer die nachrichten! i hope you all do/have done well in your exams.
i must say, i´m in vacation from the uni at the moment, so i have no tests, no exams, no referats, no nothing, and very soon we´ll have carnaval!! :D :D :D voll geil!! hahaha
enough of happy stuff... :?
i´m workin a lot, and even though i really enjoy it, last week was a total crap, i only did boring stuff and received bad news hahahaha
dear prinzessin, thanx a lot for your attention when it comes to languages. you´re right, i can understand a little of german, and writing here is very good for me to practic it. however, i can understand and write english a lot easier. that means that when you write me in german it will take a lot longer for me to reply, and, of course, you won´t have to read all my grotesque german errors!! conclusion: mir ist es egal, ob wir auf deutsch oder english schreiben. ihr entscheidet das.

now, news about my beautiful country:
we had a major disaster 2 weeks ago in a place where the new subway line is being constructed here in sao paulo. it was a huge and stupid mistake both from the companies who are building it and from the government, that is poor and uncapable of fiscalizing things rightly. aprox. 10 people died, many houses and vehicles were destroyed (including the car from a friend of mine who works near there), and it will cause a big delay in this venture that is of extreme importance to help sao paulo´s traffic get less jammed. ah, as a matter of curiosity: we have aprox. 15 million inhabitants in sao paulo, and our subway has aprox. 15% the size (extension) of the viennese u-bahn.
the weather is beautiful, very warm, i went to the house of my family on the countryside yesterday and it was very good, i finally could enjoy the sun and the swimpool. despite the heat (or rather because of it), it rains a lot, and the town is often flooded, which makes traffic jams even worse than they are normally. and belive me, traffic jams here are, by definition, extremelly bad.
we´re about to have elections for president of the parliament here. we have 3 candidates: 2 of them are allies from Lula (who was recently reelected, despite many many many despicable scandals involving him and his party), and one is an "enemy" from him. both Lula´s buddys are making this incredibly bizarre campaign based on a huge salary raise for all the parliament (over 100%), so that they will win aproximatelly 8.000 euro per month each. that may seem reasonable to you, but is a complete absurd when it comes to a country where, on average, people get 100 euro per month. they also promise all the sort of favors to their political allies in case they´re elected, and neglect all important reforms that the country needs to grow and get wealthier. of course, they try to hide that from the population (either way, only the members of the parliament vote and decide who will be their president).
meanwhile, our "brilliant" president keeps developing superficial and assitencialistic (does this word exist in english? if not, i mean he creates social projects that only feed the poor people, but force them to remain poor and dependent from the government forever, because there´s no job creation and development) projects, only concerned with his popularity and things that are visible in the short-term, that is, during his mandate.
well, i think i´ve written too much already... i just would like to say that i´m sorry that you also have stupid politicians and that I share of your worries about the austrian society, having such people in government seems to be a major retrocession. either way, it was very interesting that you wrote all that, michi, we get to know really few news about austria here in brazil. it will always be truely appreciated hearing from you and getting to know your vision about your country. danke vielmals!
to end this post, just one last comment (a little more positive, so that i don´t make you don´t wan´t to come here): one thing i really like about brazil is that we´re such a huge mix of cultures and ethnies, and therefore, in my opinion, there are more harmonic and tollerant relationships among different groups. specially in the poorer regions, people are extremelly friendly and have an incredible "joie de vivre", in spite of their miserable, awful living conditions.

macht nix, war sehr interessant.
in the meantime there are no other news in austria. the most important theme are still the neo-nazi-fotos of Strache.
All of us (i hope) are very frightened about the fact that his party, which is very very xenophobic and sympathises with neo-nazi-organisations ("Burschenschaften"), have won very much in the last elections.

Und jetzt zum Sport:
The Vienna Capitals have lost their last game 8:2 against Insbruck. Very poor hockey was played by them, but they are at the fourth place of the league, so they have a possibility to reach the Play-Offs. We'll see if they can achieve it.
Wann kommst du wieder nach Österreich??? Nächsten Winter??? Vielleicht über Silvester, dann können wir Schie fahren gehen und Silvester in Rom oder so feiern???

ja naechsten winter vielleicht kann ich wieder nach wien kommen! rom un schifahren waeren beide super, das muessen wir plannen. wie lange dauert normalerweise eure weihnachtsferien?
palmeiras ist ein bisschen besser jetzt, der neue coach schaut gut zu sein, aber wir haben ja gestern zum erstenmal im paulista meisterschaft (von sao paulo, bundesland) verloren, gegen ponte preta das voll schlecht ist.

Das wäre super wenn du nächsten winter kommen könntest. Unsere Weihnachtsferien sind glaub ich bis zum 10.Jänner
Dieses Jahr hat es zu Weihnachten aber noch nicht viel Schnee gegeben. Vielleicht aber nächstes Jahr.
Am Donnerstag haben die Capitals als erstes Team diese Saison in Salzburg gewonnen. Wir sind aber immer noch auf Platz vier in der Tabelle
