”At the moment, Bloodpit is one the most potential Finnish rock bands and it is truly great to collaborate with them”, says Kimmo Valtanen, Managing Director of Sony BMG. “Bomfunk MC's and HIM were once broken through Sony and BMG's organizations, and Lordi was last year's biggest success story. For Bloodpit, Sony BMG intends to create a setting for similar kind of domestic and international success."
The forthcoming weekend, Bloodpit will perform at Eurosonic Festival in the Netherlands. The band has already begun recording their second album with the producer Janne Joutsenniemi, and the album is to be released in the spring. The album will be mixed by Jyrki Tuovinen and Hiili Hiilesmaa. The first single should in all likelihood be released in March.
