I adore these two songs, Both sung Brillantly By Our Agnetha.

Which one Do you Like Better?

I know it's hard to choose but here we go again!

I would have to put As Good As New ahead Of When I Kissed The Teacher, There is something about the way she sings this great song.

What do you all think

For me there really is no choice. As Good As New is by far the better song.
Agnetha really lets go while singing this one.

Although I love "As Good As New", my favourite is "When I Kissed The Teacher". This song has always belonged to my Top Ten ABBA classics.

It has a great arrangement, it sounds almost like a Beatles-Song. Of course with female vocals of both ABBA-Ladies. I would not call it an Agnetha-led song, because she only has a few soloparts on it, while most of this masterpiece is sung by both singers.

Love both these songs bit WIKTT just pips it for me. It has that euphoric feel to it and has the Phil Spector sound wall of sound which I love so much.

As I said bothe songs feature great vocal work By Agnetha, But it is the style of As Good As New. Simply amazing.

ABBA called it an Agnetha lead when Arrival was released so I guess it is!

I like When I Kissed The Teacher so much better. Always loved it and now as a teacher myself it of course is still a favourite!

By the way: Odd to compare these two since they are so very different.

I am aware too that Abba wrote who sings what at the back of Arrival. (talking about LP record sleeve :lol: )

On the LP-Sleeve from "Arrival" they only wrote, that Agnetha sings soloparts on "When I Kissed The Teacher". They donŽt wrote that she has the leadvocal on it! What the ABBA-Site writes is right: Leadvocal Agnetha & Frida, feat. Agnetha!

As Ron wrote above, the two songs are in such different styles that they're very hard to compare. (I'm paraphrasing, Ron.) To like one or other better is to say that one prefers either disco or else Phil Spector style pop. Both songs are very good in their respective ways, although I suppose As Good As New is more ambitious.

I like both of them, but, being a teacher myself, I would certainly pick WIKTT, and you can be sure that one of these days I'm gonna let Agnetha teach me a lesson alright.

i went to an all boys school.
the only 2 female teachers we had where both a right pair of battleaxes so i never kissed a teacher.

cna i be a real Scrooge and say Humbug !!

i will not choose 'cos i love both songs soo much
allright , i'll say WIKTT because there are one or two teachers on this site i would not mind kissing :oops:

Well, I'm sure I'm not one of them, but anyway I agree with you, as a teacher I would like to be kissed by Agnetha, but as a student there are a couple of teachers that could make a good kiss.

i pick as good as new. i like this song much much better. "when i kissed the teacher" is kinda to teachers pet kinda thing for me. so it just doesn't do it..

Hi all!

It seems that all of our teachers here on the site prefer WIKTT ........Hmmmm.....I wonder why!!! :kiss: :kiss: :kiss:

Anyway, I seem to be in the minority here as I much prefer As good as new. To be honest with you, I usually skip over WIKTT when I put on Arrival. :oops: :oops: :oops: I know everybodys mouths have just dropped!!! I have to say it is not one of my favourite songs.........There I said it!!! I don't know why. It is a pretty good song, it just does not appeal to me. Maybe I should have been a teacher myself!!! :lol: :lol: :lol:
