I´m still waiting on further information on "Imprint". Carolyn Linn promised to keep me updated on what will be with the "Sundance Festival". I guess, I shouldn´t expect any info till January. Most people are already off work because of the holidays. Well, let´s see what 2007 will bring for us ...

I know what you mean, and I love them too. I fell off a horse and nearly got trampled when I was 10. I still have a bit of a fear of them now.
Re: Movies
newnativspirit - 15.02.2007, 12:46
I used to have my own horse when I was a little kid. I did all kind of stuff with it - sometimes it was pretty dangerous. I was perfect in bareback riding, but I doubt that I still could do it - it´s been years that I´ve been riding a horse. Next time I´ll get the chance to do it again, I´ll try out if I´m still good in it - lol (poor horse !!!)
Re: Movies
eddiefever - 16.02.2007, 00:16
ooh i've bene trapped by a horse many times ,i am lucky for not having rela injuries
see a couple of my friends had pony's and they were to afraid to clean their hoofs
so i always did ti ,but 2 of those horse were so stubborn ,they didnt; realize it is better to have clean hoofs than muddy ones ,cause they will get infected and crubmle if you dont' clean it enough
so i jsut did ti ,i dont'ahve fear of the horse itself ,but i dont'leikt he idea of the horse distroyings oemthinga dn I have to be on his back the =next minute !!!
i love it when they run fast ,it feel like pure freedom
nothing mathers but the wind in your hair and the sound of hoofs

It's been years for me too since I've been on the back of a horse. We had several horses when I was growing up and one of them would run down the side of the fence - if someone got on his back - strange because he seemed friendly. I've had one step on my foot - and try to take a nibble out of me.
Re: Movies
Idril - 26.02.2007, 19:00
ouch
A few years ago a horse jumped on my foot. That hurt!

I remember it was quite painful - as for the nibbling he had his lips moving towards my shoulder - course I was eating an apple so he may have been going for that...but it was scary.

ok - can we all just stop changing the subject. Like in the other Michael threads, this is totally off topic. lol

how do we all seem to get off the topic of Michael? I've noticed that on more than one occasion - we need to break ourselves from it.
Re: Movies
evenstar - 27.02.2007, 03:29
It's cos we will be talking about Mike, then mention something either related to him, or completely off topic, and then it spirals out of control from there! *lol*
Re: Movies
newnativspirit - 27.02.2007, 10:45
yeah, I know how it happens - lol - I was just thinking of Mike and Eddie stopping by at the board and then opening their threads to find some cooking recipes ... LOL - you know what I mean?

Re: Movies

I just watched Dances With Wolves last night - first time. I have issues with Kevin Costner, so I avoided it ever since it came out. But it was on TV last night and thought - meh - Michael Spears (amongst others) is in it.
And well, there's something wrong with having a crush on a 10 year old boy!
But moving on from that - it's a great film. I think I'll have to pick up the DVD and 'really' watch it. Nathan Lee Chasing His Horse was just outstanding.
Re: Movies
enelya06 - 25.06.2007, 13:39
I don't think there is anything wrong with crushing a 10 year old boy. I've seen Dances with Wolfs several times....it is a very good movie and it's sort of funny to see Mike and Nathan so young - they were sure cuties back then...and improved with age.
Re: Movies
evenstar - 26.06.2007, 07:02
Agreed. I thought both Mike and Nathan Lee were gorgeous back then!
Re: Movies
enelya06 - 26.06.2007, 13:41
yes they were very cute boys who grew up to be very handsome men.

IMDB finally has Shadowheart listed - it's a western being shot in Montana (at least parts of it are). So far only three actors have been listed; Justin Ament (listed as actor & producer), Tonantzin Carmelo and obviously Michael.

ok - let us get back to the topic!
Imprint is pretty successful in States. The screenings are going great and the movie is receiving such a positive response from the audiences. Here's a quote from the organizer of the Monument Valley Film Fest:
"Michael Linns Imprint went over very, very well with people. Many thought it was the best film on the entire program. Many loved the score and liked how the film kept you wanting to know what was going to happen next. We had the volume on this film up pretty loud, I personally thought the score was amazing."
There will be a screening in Santa Fe on August 18th! So if any of you do have the chance to go there ...
The German website for Imprint will be done soon ! LOTS OF PICTURES !
(nice ones of Michael !) I´ll put the link up as soon as the site will be online !

Imprint has been confirmed for a showing at Indian Market:
2007 Native Cinema Showcase
Imprint's info page
Chris Eyre and Michael Linn are confirmed to be there - as per Michael's myspace page and the link above.
Wonder if Michael is going - VO show on Thursday (wonder if Eddie is going??) and the screening on Saturday. Of course he (they - meaning he & Eddie) could be busy with the new film or something else.
