Ali ABBA
Hey everyone.

I've just been taking a look through the songs at abba-world and found this title. The following information follows;

////////(Benny Andersson/Björn Ulvaeus/Micheal B. Tretow/Ola Brunkert)

Recorded 1982 (?)

Recorded by Michael B. Tretow and Ola Brunkert, using backing track of Like An Angel Passing Through My Room.

Broadcast on Swedish radio by Michael B. Tretow.\\\\\\\\\\\\

Just wondering if anyone has ever heard this or has lyrics to it or any further information. As it was broadcast on radio, i would think SOMEONE would have recorded it and i bet its lurking in the corner of a dark cupboard lol.

Thanks
Samy x

It is a instrumental version of Like An Angel Passing Through My Room - with Ola Brunkert grunting to it.... not too exciting

yea grunting
somewhere it was explained by Michael B. Tretow

drummers make grunt louds to keep their pace.. - he sneakingly placed a microphone in front of him and recordet it for fun, mixed it with the backing track and then played it on radio

I'd like to listen to it anyway...

In the background you can hear the heavenly voices of Agnetha and Frida, but the grunting is so loud it makes listening to it really infuriating.

Hey that sounds pretty cool.

I can just imagine the hysterical Laughter when they first played it back.

Hej,
Well, after hearing it, i would comment that its more like painful moaning than grunting lol, but still another item to the collection :D

I cannut understand how a grown-up man can make sounds like these for more than 3 minutes without wishing to disappear for feeling ashamed and silly. :lol:

But, hey, the beacking track is really lovely, especially these beacking vocals by both girls.
I like the final mix but I guess the song could have been a bit more "exciting" - although this my be the wrong word - with these backing vocals and a little brighter backing-track.

The whole song could easily become a song sung in church when I listen to this demo.

Out of all ABBA-songs this must be one with the most interesting history. There are so many different versions in the archives, one with Agnetha and Frida on vocals, one that sounded too similar to Lay All Your Love On Me, als Benny and Björn later said and then the whole thing is slowly transferred to the final, very stripped down version. It sounds as if this demo was taken durin the last working processes since the song has already lost it's LAYLOM-feeling.

Thank you for the link, Rudolf. Now I understand why Ola Brunkert never was successful as singer. :lol:

I read somewhere that the propper version of Another Morning Without You and the full version of Just A Notion are apparently available on Lime Wire.

I down loaded it to see but couldn't find them anywhere. Does anybody else know whether they are or not? If they are I find it very odd that they haven't been made more readily available on youtube.

I doubt they're available.
