well, in the old home we had an entrie saying that this band was viking, I've listened to it for... 2 years or sth, and I never knew they were viking, so... is it?
ohh yeah, and another thing, I've heard people in this "market" called THE CHOPO (place to trade stuff and buy some sth, metaller sth) saying that HEIMDALL is viking metal, but HEY if anyone had listened to them you'll notice that it's POWER!, yeah they have some viking-like themes but they're POWER!!!! so..., what's your opinion about that?

The lyrics for Heimdall are Viking/Folk. You can call it whatever you want. Strictly by sound, it is power metal though.

Hehe, yeah. I love Raventhrone, and another thing that makes me like them so much is that nobody else does. :D
Yeah, Raventhrone are classified BM. There lyrical themes arn't really vikingish, but some would consider them Epic Viking. Whatever they are, Black, or Viking. They're Epic something.

and raventhrone is something i don't like at all. for sure it is not viking metall, i would say. i happen to have a cd of them, but i don't know why...

Yes, Raventhrone is indeed a very good band, I really enjoyed their music as long as they existed. And they came from Austria as far as I remember, at least the majority of the members.

I met raventhrone by accident... in that thing that used to be the AGS satellite..., the first song I ever heard was "raventhrone - raventhrone" and I still listen to that one on my car :P

Heimdall, although has great orchestrated music... His vocals are just way to bleak for power metal. There is just no life in them.
