As we all know music can affect us quite a lot, it arranges our everyday's life, it is with us in almost every situation in life, it is responsible for our entire attitude, and also sometimes the way we think and act thus...
well, the point in here now is to figure out what it is that makes music so unique and special...why does it affect us so much?
there are also questions like: can music make us becoming aggressive? (related to things like ppl killing teachers in school and such for example)
(sidenote: this is not my point of view, just to let you know)
...in which way does it advance our intelligence-level, our social life...OR also not?!?! what is this "emotion-thing"?
there are a lot of open questions which are resident on a deep psychologic level...so opinions may be hard to describe and to explain in here!
please take this topic serious and post your honestly meant opinions now!
MY OPINION
..I will take care to explain it as good as possible...
I will start off with music affecting myself
yeah, music, to me this is something that accompanies me in every situation of my life. Often it makes me feel better in bad times, but, honestly, it never makes me feel and become aggressive in any way! I myself don't know why it is how it is, but I think that I'm able to know what music truly is related to emotions...there is no basic reason that I could explain exactly, but I'm convinced that music is not to make you become aggressive and it also never should...and that's it, music will never affect be so hard that I could become aggressive or that it makes me do something wrong or bad in any way...(damn, this is hard to describe, please don't get me wrong :))
I'm pretty much convinced that music made me become more "intelligent"...this is roughly said and sounds kinda vain...this has to do with the issues the songwriters deal with, and all in all they do form my attitude, the way I act and think, my social behaviour compared to other ppl.
I have learned a lot by listening to music...(to me this are historical things, psychologic and emotional things, mostly dealing with "life" and "death", tales and a lot more)
music made me become more engaged to social life, helping ppl with anything for example, learning to respect more important things...
it made me become self-confident and also helped me to accept likes and dislikes of other ppl.
another thing concerning music itself is probably the artistic part...means: ppl often want to get on a level their idols are for example...children are shaped by that quite a lot and imo this is a real good thing! this advances their creativity and self-confidence they need when they're older anytime.
this does not only concern children, but also ppl who are already older!
so, this is all for now, I hope that I haven't forgotten anything :)
but now I want to have your opinions on this issue!

Well, in most parts i really agree with you!
I'm also always influenced by the music and mostly always positiv ... I don't become aggressive through music but when i'm kinda angry aggressive music helps me to cool down somehow.
But i think there is a possibility music effects ppl in a bad way, eg lyrics containing content like 'kill ppl' ... even if it's said for fun and the lyricists says don't blame me ... people with a low social level maybe can't deal with that and do so.
A problem might be that vocalists with lyrics like that are blamed for things that happen and then they talk about it to blame back ...
