I wonder why they canceled a recording session for a Spanish version of Waterloo. Since the recording session was scheduled, obviously the lyrics for it must have been written, so I wonder why they didn't record a Spanish version of Waterloo when they recorded the Spanish album. In fact, that's the question I asked on ABBAsite.

I would have loved "The Winner Takes It All" (I know a spanish cover titled "Va todo al ganador" that is good by with ABBA's voices it could have been better). I also would have loved "Take a Chance on Me" but I'm not sure they could have reached the same quality, the rhythm and the sounds of the words are so special that it would have been hard to write spanish lyrics to fit with the theme.
Among the oldest songs, I think that "Honey Honey" could easily have been recorded in spanish.

Money, Money, Money, as "Quiero Mas Dinero", fits the English equivalent and still retains the feel of the song...

LOL  , dont know why but "Quiero Mas Dinero" sounds hilarious a bit like "No Tiengo Dinero" by Righeria (for those who can recall this song)...
Yeh, I think we have had enough ABBA in Spanish. What about ABBA in Portuguese? A bossanova version of Fernando would be fascinating...hehe..

I was once a member of a Yahoo group of ABBA fans. Another member posted lyrics for a Spanish version of TWTIA. Unfortunately I didn't write them down, and a short time later, the group ceased to exist. :(

I know this is an old topic, But It seems so good I'm reviving it. Out of the many songs they should of done in spanish, "If It Wasn't for the Nights" and "Me and I" Come to mind as being songs that would of been great if done in spanish.
