    #2 NOV06: MELBOURNE, VIC
    G'day, Ladies and Gentlemen,
    here we go again!

Melbourne on November, 2nd (Thursday). State Library of Victoria, Swanston Street - Central Business District_
    Weather: unpredictable.
Yesterday: Sunshine, no clouds, about 26 degree.
Today morning: Rain, dark clouds, exactly 23 degree.

Next to me sits - what surprise again! - a German talking couple, probably from Bavaria. Slowly, but surely I'm getting used to it, that everybody around me in this city is for approximately 20% a German tourist. Makes it definitely not easier to concentrate on another language (not to forget the masses of German speaking inhabitants in our hostel in St. Kilda, a Melbourne district which is comparable with Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg or, at least, with Friedrichshain or Pankow). Well, neverthelesee it's a wonderful city, quasi filled up with strangers from all over the world, especially from Asia, India and many many Europeans (all over, we have Irish Ladies, English guys, wonderful French filles avec une accent tres sexy, Swedish, Canadians, Scottish, Italians and U.S.-Americans, annoying 38y-old sluts from the Philippines and a goddamn friendly Dutchman named Matt).
We arrived here on October, 20th, this is, from tomorrow exactly on two weeks ago and had a wonderful time so far. Besides sightseeing, getting to know to kind and interesting people+mates, having wonderful dinner in the evenings we have done lots of pretty important things to get this trip started finally:
    +getting our Tax File Number
    +getting a bank account
+joining the Wwoof (Willing Workers on Organic Farms - helping out on farms all over the country, making stuff like fruitpicking, building tents, washing dishes for about 4-6hrs a day and apply free accomodation+meals)

We also bought a car finally - yeah, it is true, we now own a car in Australia! Unfortunately I forgot my floppy disc this time (which I need to pick pictures from my Canon on it and upload them), so you will have to wait a bit longer to receive pictures of our golden-snowwhite colored FORD FALCON (I know, everybody else has either A Ford or a Holden Commodore, but I really don't care about that)! Including that is a complete incurance and a warranty for a whole year (we won't stay here any longer ;). Today we went to the locksmith and copied some more carkeys, bought a doubble matraze and booked our flights for next year summer. On our way back to Europe we'll spend more than four weeks on Bali, Indonesia - perhaps including a trip to Java+Indonesia's capital Jakarta.
Well, but there is something more to experience until that. I will come back to this topic in... half a year and later_

Actually we decided to leave "The City of Port Philipp" which is the name of the bight, Melbourne is located at from tomorrow on - the hostel's prizes are going to increase because of the summer season and, perhaps more important to the city, the "Melbourne Cup" next Tuesday (a really really famous horse racing which is set yearly on every first Tuesday in November). Then we got the offer to earn some money with removing (=Umzugsarbeiten like moving furniture and stuff) stuff on Tuesday. Expected eight hours of work became 16, we were paid on hour, $10 for one, so we got $160 at the end AND the offer from one of those goddamn friendly men we worked for (his name is Phil) to live in his flat from this Friday on... he, his wife and their child are going on holiday until next week_ Means for us: a few more days Melbourne with FREE accomodation_

In this moment my personal music switched from Aerosmith to an old "Die Aerzte"-Song ("Quark"/Die Beste in Menschengestalt), in front of me walks a dude with in a Sith-costume which could be my own (though my one is darker ;).
Yesterday I get to know to the district we live in for the last weeks, St. Kilda. What a nice place to live in! At the moment it's pretty windy and cold yet, but in summer... just imagine Prenzl'berg with a beach!

I just looked up the 10day-weather data for Berlin, GER. Hmm... what should I say... I'm so sorry for you, guys! :D Well, it is supposed to get warmer a bit in Prussia the following days, but there will be soon a period full of rain!

I bought some postcards today. Means, I indeed will write something privately as soon as possible to you guys. Everbody I really care about will receive a card, I hope you appreciate this!
Anyway, it is possible to write us on the contrary - so everybody who minds about me or us, can write a letter or something to either Donnie or me, I/we would be pleased!

    This is the address:

    name SURNAME
    C/- POSTE RESTANTE
GPO (stands for General Post Office)
    MELBOURNE
    VIC
    3001

I got a mobile phone number as well, like followed: +61404758426

So, if you're bored, write me, I'll be glad to receive something from home! (My European number is working, too.)

My dear, what else to say... our next stop will be: A farm to earn money for at least four weeks, the longer the better - I can't be sure so far if it is possible to write and answer mails (and I'll answer every single mail I get) or to stay in contact with you via forum or website. But we will come back, don't be concerned...
see ya next time dudes and gurls, have a nice time in cool+funky Berlin!

+++and before I quit, one more thing to note, I almost forgot! There are pictures online, I put all the best of our travel photographies into the RB-forum. Have a look at it (>> http://forum.roknablue.de <<), topic is: [AROUND THE WORLD].
