ABBA - The Site Forum Shutdown Information
Hi all, some of you know me since way back. I think the closure of the ABBAsite forum was to abrupt. I know there was discussions early this year about that Polar didn't have time to administrate the website. And since it's only one person working with ABBA I understand it.
It's sad to read about how all of you (109 000 of you) without notice were shut down from the forum. (I had nothing to do with it).
Kindest regards
Magnus, Sweden.

Hi Magnus,
To say I was shocked at closure of the ABBA Site Forum is an understatement and it is good to see that people like Johnny and yourself are stepping into the breach!

I too, was shocked.
But I think you might júst be a bit too late with your club/forum...
Johnny stepped right into the gap,(?) when the ABBA site forum closed down and a lot have found their way to this forum.
My guess is it will be hard to get people joining more that 1 forum at a time. (but I could be wrong)
I hope you WILL succeed, Magnus...I could be wrong with my thoughts on a new forum.
Regards,
Astrid

Must admit that I agree with Astrid regards to having two similar Forums as it is inevitable discussions will be duplicated.

Astrid, thank you. But I am not doing this for myself but for all of us. To have a forum on a dedicated domain creates opportunities for full control and out of the reach of other company desicions. Membership in Club ABBA is not only Forum. Its games, trivia and more. So lets give it some time. Hopefully I'll see you there.

I have joined however I feel very commited to this one,
But I believe the Abba fan world should work in Harmony together, I have seen some vicious attacks eminating from different boards over the years.
So hopefully both these new boards will show the way, and work together
However I will pop in from time to time to had comments
But I do feel this is my Abba forum home first. And poor Johnny has to put up with me I am afraid! :P
Good luck with your site Magnus and will see you in there
Jack

It is a shame that your Forum will duplicate what we already are enjoying here and a pity that your efforts cannot be combined with Johnny's so that we have one place to visit as there was at the ABBA Site.

We have agreed with member Magnus that this is an issue which better is talked about in confidence before forking out public announcements. For the time being we think everybody should worry about his own business and we will see what the future may hold.
