Ja, hört sich interessant an. Und scheint neu zu sein. Ich glaube, ich hatte beim Presence Server auch schon was darüber gelesen.
Wir (ich) sind gar nicht mehr auf dem Laufenden, scheint mir. Neue Audio-Shows hat es vermutlich auch schon wieder gegeben... :roll:

Here are the (3) AUD sources for Zeppelins' Tampa '77 show, including stage announcements and new broadcasts. All sources are from the masters with the first being the most distant. Source 2 especially is an excellent recording with very little disturbance.
Even though the playing is exceptional, gutsy and strong the show had to be called off due to a severe rainstorm breaking out and a danger of electrocution threatening the event. After only 3 songs, the show was cancelled and a huge riot broke out. The stadium was trashed and the subsequent riot was extensively covered by the press, and it's marvelously preserved in these recordings. The sound is excellent and the playing is great!

Set list (52:13): As Long As I Have You / I Can't Quit You / The Train Kept A Rollin' / Babe I'm Gonna Leave You / Dazed And Confused / Killing Floor / For Your Love
This is a release of great historical importance. The title features, for the first time almost 38 years after the event took place, the second oldest tape in the history of the band that has surfaced so far.
The recording is pretty good for the era. Actually, it is of quality almost equal to that of a "soundboard" recording. I presume, however, that it is in fact a very good audience recording made in a relatively small venue rather than so-called a "soundboard." Jimmy's guitar, which did not have as much overdriving or fuzz effects as later (as you can hear in "I Can't Quite You" included in the free sampler DVD-Audio distributed by EV for free with any EV title purchase for some time) and Bonzo's loud drum tends to overshadow Robert's voice and Johnsey's bass, but all the sounds are clearly discernible. The set runs for only slightly over 50 minutes. In view of the short set list included in the title, some people may be skeptical to think that EV intentionally held back some portion (e.g., "White Summer/ Black Mountain Side", as one of the still photos featured in the title shows Jimmy playing the Dan Electro) of the entire recording. As I listened to Robert's announcement recorded in the tape, "For Your Love" is clearly the last tune played at the gig. Whether or not EV skipped any tunes before the last one is a question to which I don't have any definitive answer at hand, but I guess that is not the case. It probably features the master tape source in full. For curiosity, a photo of a box of the SONY PR-150 reel tape which seems to be the master tape of the recording is shown on the back cover of the title. On the back side of the case, in addition to the English notes "SIDE 1 Ch.1 LED ZEPPELIN at Whisky A Go-Go Jan 5, 1969 Side 2 Ch. 1 L.Z. 'For Your Love'," there are some Japanese characters written on it, saying "Ch.2 Japanese xxx. " I cannot precisely read the portion xxx, since the characters are too small. (They may be Japanese words meaning "songs for children"!) Why such Japanese characters are written on it is a mystery... We can certainly feel that the performance of the band captured by the tape is one of its earliest, since most of the tunes are played in more compact manner than they became in later stages. Here, improvisations are confined to minimum levels. However, the brutality of Bonzo's drum playing and the wide range of Robert's voice is incredible. Jimmy also seems to have been doing some experimental guitar works here. The tape is certainly a very welcomed find with which we can experience a compact, primitive but young and powerful Zeppelin. Triple thumbs up for this great release by EV! The title is composed of a DVD-Audio with still photos featured and a CD, but the audio contents are the same as between the two different mediums. As Long As I Have You ist find ich der Oberhammer 69 gewesen :D So energiegeladen ...und dann noch Roberts Stimme :grin: Bin mal sehr auf die Version gespannt. Mein Favorite ist immer noch das ALAIHY vom 26.4. :roll:

Also...völlig anders als Zep...also GANZ anders :lol:
Ein bischen wie Strange Sensations (sind ja auch teilweise dieselben Songs)...aber nicht so rockig. Viel "einfacher"...fast "amateurmässig" ;-) Sie haben ja meist auch nur vor einer Handvoll Leute gespielt...in irgendwelchen "Kneipen", oder so.
Mehr Orgel...weniger elektrische Gitarre.
Aber mir gefällt es seeehr gut :grin:

Aber der Sound ist echt gut, ein bisschen kräftiger, als der Multitrack von Kevin Shirley.

So habs mir gestern Nacht mal genau angehört :wink:
Bin total begeistert! Der Sound ist echt überraschend gut und Robert (wie immer zu der Zeit) in Höchstform.
As Long As I Have You dauert schon über 10 Minuten, was ich ziemlich beeidruckend finde, da Zep zu dem Zeitpunkt ja erst seit ein paar Monaten zusammen gespielt hat.
I Can't Quit You kennst du wahrscheinlich schon :wink:
The Train Kept A Rollin...Persönlich ist das jetzt schon eine meiner Lieblingsversionen :-)
Babe I'm Gonna Leave You spielen sie super, vor allem Robert singt wieder mal super.
Dazed And Confused dauert auch schon über 10 Minuten. Ich liebe den Sound von der Telecaster im Solo :roll:
Killing Floor ist leider nicht sooo überragend, aber immer noch auf hohem Niveau. Hier merkt man ein bischen, dass Jimmy mit hohem Fieber gespielt hat. Vor allem das erste Solo wirkt etwas konfus.
For Your Love ist super. Bonzo Schlagzeugspiel ist genial!
Danach ist Zeps Set (wahrscheinlich) fertig. Und man hört noch kurz wie ne Hamond Organ gespielt wird. War vielleicht schon der nächste Künstler
Insgesamt super Konzert!

A Whiskey Review from the FBO List
Here's the first definitive review I've seen...

only second know recording of live Zep comes at me. Like the audience
sitting there that night I have no idea what to expect... and it is
good. Everything is clear save maybe for JPJ being low in the mix, and
even though Plant asked in the beginning if everyone can hear him, when
he belts it out, yeah, I think they can. I'll tell you this, right off
the bat, if it seems like the rest of the band were somewhat hesitant
and 'lost' Bonzo came to friggin play! He is the one in control og this
tune as several times when it seems like Jimmy's in a rut, Bonzo know's
where they should be and rolls them into it. Song ends to a rather quiet
polite applause from the audience. Plant introduces them to ICQYB and
again, you've all probably heard the sampler already so know what I mean
by saying, it's young, raw, Jimmy's sticky in places, but Bonzo just
clearly is driving this plane. Plant is improvising on vocals and if he
had some shyness issues befoer they're disappearing as his wails are
loud and clear.
Whoa, now it makes sense.... after I'm pretty sure I hear Plant
attribute the last one to Otis Rush, he say's everything's in a
different order tonight...explain why only now they go into TKAR. And
wow, Bonzo is really ripping it up on this one. Plant introduces it
only as "The Train" It's a barnburner!!! Seems like a short trite
harmonica solo from Plant, but get this, I don't recall hearing it
before, but as Page rips into his solo you can hear Plant still blowing
away!!! Nice! Now that gets the audience going!
Oh wow, what a pisser as Plant introduces the next number...." This is
called Babe, I'm Gonna Leave you........traditionally." HA!!!! " You can
hear this on the fantastic album that comes out on the 15th, on
Atlantic, we won't giver you any names....it's by Hermit's Hermits live
at the Whiskey a Go-Go!" Oh man Plants definately feeling at ease now
as that got a nice hearty chuckle outta the crowd. Very interesting
version as it seems like Plant is still experimenting with his
delivery...do I go hard or stay soft... or do both as I have forgotten
the words?!?!?!? Sounds good either way and the audience appreciates it.
Plant continues his funny ways with his next words... " On this album
that we weren't going to mention the title of, which is by us, there's a
number that we wrote called Dazed and Confused ...we thought and try to
play this...Dazed and Confused" And JPJ starts off the famous riff with
a rather big bend in the notes I must say... and again Plant varies the
lyrics... Jimmy's loosend up now too it seems, and Bonzo again is
driving away, seems like adding an extra roll here and there... The bow
solo is short while it seems like JPJ and Bonzo are having a battle of
their own trying to get it into the fast section. And when they do it's
at breakneck speed... JPJ is low so can't really tell but it sounds like
he gives up on trying to keep up on that repetitive riff as Bonzo
thrashes away, finally Jimmy puts a stop to it and with a furious roll
they're back to the main riff......heck my cell mate, I mean co worker
is tapping his fingers and feet... must be good!!! Seems like they’re
still working the ending out biut eventually it ends like it does on the
album.
Plant asks if anyone's here from last night and mentions them just
getting over the flu. Attributes Killing Floor to Muddy Waters...
No funky introes, just straight into the riff sans gong and Bonzo's at
it again, driving this one along.... Page suffers some sticky fingers
moments but behind that fury you can barely notice. JPJ also is now
adding his frills and thrills as you can finally hear him more in the
mix... and once again...love Plant's adlibbing of lyrics!!! Killing
floor indeed, it slayed me...
Plant mentions Keith Relf and then seems to admonish the audience "
Hey too much too much" as their applause is too loud for his liking?!?!?
Finally the one I've been dying to hear is here...I'm a poet and don't
know it... For Your Love... oh man this is sweet to my ears. It's
frigging killer, with Page getting into a cool wah and appregrios
workout, that building building....wahhhhhh - CUT- AHHHH!!!!!! a
cut!!!!! - and it comes back to it but oh what a bummer, just as I was
wondering what orbit Page is going into it's cut!!! But no matter as the
song ends with Plant belting out one of his best notes of the whole
night a spine tinglingling 15 secong LOOOOOOOOOOOVEE!!!!!!! and that's
it...show's over and we're treated to some audience noise , people
asking if they're coming back, mentioning a show in a week and a rather
strange version of Chest fever coming on...seems like maybe over the
house pa but damn it makes me wonder......check the drums and guitar.....
Wow, there, hope you enjoyed listning to me disect as I listen.
I wonder if this IS the complete show... with the audience so cool and
quiet it'd be easy to nip and tuck. With Bonzo in such a frenetic mood
seems odd that Pat's Delight wasn't thrown out to him or audience...WS ?
You Shook Me ? HMMT? all pretty standard fare for the 1st US tour
shows....or were they just tuckered out from the flu ...or is there a
definative , most complete, storongest version still to be had ?
Only time will tell, but for now, this is one helluva way to end the
2006 Zep season and gets my vote as the most important release of 2006.

There is talk on R-O of a newly discovered show. It's 4/25/77 Louisville,
KY. The tapes are 2nd gen aud and if all goes well the tapes will
transferred to digital format this weekend. The tapes have been a box in a
garage for some time and the owner decided to see if he could find his old
tape collection. He claims to have several artists performing in the Ohio
Valley area from the mid 70's.

Jimmy wurde mal gefragt, ob er diese "Bio" gelesen hat. Er antwortete, dass er es versucht hat...aber nicht weit kam, weil ihm förmlich schlecht wurde, wegen der ganzen Lügen. Und ausserdem wäre Cole nur höchstens 10% der Zeit mit den Zeps zusammen gewesen. Von daher muss er schon seine Phantasie einsetzen...sonst wäre es ein dünnes Buch geworden.
Zur Unterhaltung kann man es durch aus lesen...aber bloss nix glauben!!!

Am besten sind eh immer Bücher, die die Musiker selbst geschrieben haben, oder bei denen sie als Co-Writer oder so mitgearbeitet haben.
Vom Wahrheitsgehalt sind die sicherlich am glaubwürdigsten, würde ich sagen.
Ich finde, Jimmy sollte mal ne Autobiographie rausbringen, das fänd ich toll. :grin:
Ich hab ein Buch von Led Zeppelin, das heißt "Led Zeppelin - The story of a band and their music" und ist von Keith Shadwick (auf Englisch).
Leider hab ich´s nur angefangen und komm kaum dazu, es zu lesen. :oops: Ehrlich gesagt, ist das Englisch auch ziemlich anpruchsvoll, finde ich. :roll:

Danke Wolfgang für die Info.. mir kams auch ziemlich spanisch vor, dass der Tourmanager so viel mit denen rumgehangen hat.. na ja, witzig wars.. aber offensichtlich nicht allzu glaubhaft.
Zu Bios von Musikern: Die besten, die ich bis dato gelesen habe, sind die der Mötley Crüe und Marilyn Manson, bei beiden hatten die Musiker Mitspracherecht. Und ich liebe Neil Straus' Humor *grins*
beide Biographien sind nichts für schwache Nerven, da ziemlich lässig mit der Sprache und dem Inhalt umgegangen wird. Ich selbst musste die Bios meiner Mum in die Hand drücken, weil mir die Verkäuferin die nur gegen Ausweis verkaufen wollte...

Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones are said to be discussing plans to tour together for the first time in almost 30 years.
The news comes as the rock legends confirm news of a new greatest hits collection, the 24-track Mothership compilation, which has been specially chosen by the group.
Led Zeppelin last toured in July 1980, just months before the death of founding drummer John Bonham, playing again with numerous one-off shows in the intervening years.

Noch interessanter dürfte allerdings sein, dass im gleichen Monat die lang erwartete, neu überarbeitete Version von "The Song Remains The Same" auf den Markt kommen und auch Bonusmaterial enthalten wird. "Wir haben uns "The Song Remains The Same" noch mal vorgeknöpft", sagte Jimmy Page, "und können jetzt die komplette Setlist präsentieren. So, wie wir sie damals im Madison Square Garden gespielt haben. Und das Ergebnis unterscheidet sich ganz erheblich von dem Original- Soundtrack, der erstmals 1976 veröffentlicht wurde." Bezüglich der Arbeiten am Sound konnte man erneut Kevin Shirley einspannen, mit dem man bereits für "How The West Was Won" zusammengearbeitet hatte. Die Alben werd ich mir auch auf jeden Fall irgendwann noch zulegen.
Was ich damit sagen wollte ist nur, ich bräuchte halt die GH net unbedingt, weil da schon die Songs drauf sind, die ich kenne.
Wenn das jetzt ne Live-CD wäre, dann würde ich sie mir auch kaufen, wäre ja dann was anderes.
Was ich meinte war, dass bei den Live-Alben keine vollkommen neue Zep-Songs dabei sind, die auf Alben nicht vorkommen. Dass Rock ´n Roll Cover dabei sind usw, das ist schon klar.

Nach meinem Wissensstand ist auch nix anderes möglich :?
Das Film-Material hatte ja grosse Lücken :(
Vermutlich werden die "Studio-Aufnahmen" auch noch drin sein :cry:
Ist mir schleierhaft, wieso das damals alles so unprofessionell gelaufen ist. Genauso mit Bath, RAH, etc.
Was war mit Peter Grant los? Er hat doch sonst immer alles im Griff gehabt...

mh... also ich werd mir die Mothership vielleicht doch nicht zulegen... Auf der CD 1 unterscheidet sich zum Remasters Album nur, weil Misty Mountain Hop und Celebration Day fehlen, dafür When The Levee Breaks drauf ist.
Auf CD 2 sind sogar die identischen Titel :(
Und ich weiß nicht ob der Sound sich jetzt soooo arg verbessern wird...schade irgendwie :?

Jedenfalls habe ich vorher noch sehen können, dass auf dieser Seite, rechts oben, 'Loading Player' stand. Und da muss man wohl etwas warten, bis der Player geladen hat, und dann kann man die Clips sehen.

Die ganze Geschichte hier (von FBO):

And then there are the suggestions in FBO that there were Nazi
overtones in the band's artwork through the years, including with
Mothership. Well, you'd have to ask Shepard Fairey, among others.
That all being said, Page, Plant and Jones did have to approve the
artwork before it was used, so maybe they read into the theater and
recognized it from the cover of The Song Remains the Same's
soundtrack. But I'm kind of doubting that.
And no, I'm not the genius who discovered all this stuff. It was here

Jo, dieses Jahr ist für Zep-Fans echt ziemlich aufregend! Stecke schon seit den Reunion "Gerüchten" Anfang des Jahres im Fieber. Eigentlich wollte Jimmy ja auch noch ein eigenes Album rausbringen. Hatte er jedefalls letztes Jahr angekündigt. Glaube aber nicht das dies noch was gibt. Er wird ja auch schon 64 im Januar!! Obwohl eine Solo- Tour von ihm mal etwas sehr schönes wäre....

Ob das überhaupt noch jemand erleben wird, ist fraglich. Bei Led Zeppelin dauert ja alles immer ein bisschen länger als gewöhnlich ;-) Ich meine, wie lange hat die Welt auf ein zweites und drittes Live-Album gewartet. Schon erstaunlich. Aber in den letzten Jahren hat sich ja mehr getan als von 1980 - 2000. Von daher bin ich eigentlich optimistisch. Ich hoffe aber star, dass von der Reunion ne DCD erscheint. Falls nicht, dann soll wenigestens ein professionell gefilmtes Bootleg auftauchen, so wie von Earsl Court und Knebwort.
