look guys I'm supposed to have lost 30 lbs according to my doctor and all you all are doing is making me want to eat :) - course if I lost 30 lbs you would think me anirox - I made a deal with him 15 lbs. I now have to have suspenders for my pants because I walk out of them. It's terrible to be walking and by the time you get to the door your pants are down to where you can almost see everything.....I'm being serious....everyone has threatened me with suspenders.
I got back to him on Friday and hopefully things will be better than they were the last time.....I've had some medical problems that need to be rid of....but corn bread and fry bread - oh man such wonderful things to eat.

The problem is the German flour !!! I´m serious ! I know how to make fry bread and corn bread, but back here you just can´t do it. The flour has a different taste and that´s the problem. I do it exactly the same way like I used to do it in Canada and it still doesn´t taste. I asked a friend to get me some flour from a store at an American Air Base near by and with the American flour it works - strange - lol
But I couldn´t get any flour for this week and so I had to use the German ones again ... as long as the people liked it, it´s ok.
A friend of mine from Canada who´s been to Europe before told me that I won´t be able to do a perfect fry bread in Germany and I didn´t want to believe him, but he was so right :cry: - well, now I know :(
hope you are doing better - losing pants isn´t funny:), but suspenders would be :)

I know it's embrassing to have to constantly pull up my pants because they are loose and even worse my undies. I bought some new ones back in July and already they are too big.
So you are saying American Flour is the best for making it. I tried it one time with some wheat flour and I had no luck. Do you like sweet corn bread?

I don't believe so we have a mix that is called sweet cornbread - I'll check the ingredients on the side of the box. I'm getting hungrey and looking forward to lunch today.

there must be one mix for fry bread that really tastes like fry bread. Oh, I wish it would be more easy for us to get this stuff over here ... I need to think about something like that ... maybe I´ll find a way to make people over here fall in love with fry bread, too !

I love the stuff but can't make it real well. (fry bread that is) Where I work we take in all different types of eating places. I love greek food.
