MySpace-Entdeckung, jetzt auch von David Wingates libertines.org gepriesen, falls jemand darauf was gibt... toller Bandname.

www.nme.com/newmusic/the-down-and-outs hat folgendes geschrieben: A Four piece from Glasgow that was recently described as.. "A Mix between 60s beat groups (kinks, beatles) The Smiths and The Buzzcocks." Whipping up a mix of musical whimsy, observant lyrics and thrashing vintage guitars.'

This army of cheeky chaps consists of Ross(lead guitar/vocals), Clark(vocals/rythm guitar), Craig Fisher(bass) and Jak(drums). The band have gigged frequently in Glasgow, supporting bands like Vincent Vincent & the Villians, Ludes and The Michelles and enjoy watching old films and hanging out in bowling alleys. we sound like the battle of the somme falling down the stairs while listening to A hard days Night

Well, we've got some good news. The Down & Outs will be going into the studios to record their (and our!) first single on 30th and 31st of January.

Single Details!

* This will be our first single, released on 7" Vinyl only and limited to 500 copies.

* The A-Side will be "Julie Andrews" backed by an, as yet, unrecorded song called "Easy Come, Easy Go."

* The record is due out late march/early april

* We're expecting it to sell out pretty quickly and so there'll be a pre-order function on our website shortly (we'll let you know exactly when!).

* More details to follow including, artwork, release date and launch parties in both Glasgow and Hartlepool to follow!
We hope you're looking forward to it as much as we are!
