mods can kiss my ass. I try doing the RTR mod, which adding up in 2 days wasted in download the 1.2 patch and RTR, and almost fucked my RTW up (thank god for backup copy) and I finally was able to install RTW again,and replace it with the backup copy so I can get my replays up (cuz I got the Box Set).

the time setting does not interest me. The only part of history that interests me is the late classical era and the onset of the middle ages. Other parts of history also interest me. I'm reading a great novel on Genghis Khan if any of you are interested in that hard something called reading :wink:

Gah I'm just gunna get owned by the NTW1 vets, but meh it'll be just like when I started with Rome lol.
@ Pietro, well perhaps you could try it for gameplay, if you don't fancy the era. Its battles are reported to go on for over an hour, so we're talking attacks, counter attacks...real strategy. Theres also cool features like troops can go in buildings for cover, but if the roof collapses then all the troops die, so its a risk :D
Without sounding like a complete advertisment, I myself couldn't really care less about the time period, but the gameplay looks awesome. :D
Give it a go, you can always delete it you don't like it :wink:

it looks cool,and I like to get it. if I know alot of ppl will play like,I would try to get it, but if only 5 people are going to play it online,then meh.

80% of the TW commutiny got Amercian/British Players and half of them are snotty :lol:

tactics are pretty demanding in this game,other then crashing heavy cav into the flank,it reqiures quite a bit,and hase a ingame editor which is nice

The tactics behind it are limited imo to how much u can shoot the shit out of the guy in front of u, but it made for an entertaining game and myself and cow go unbeaten after 5 games!! :twisted:

Set up
plan of attack
and Manuvering of cav
you can just alt attack and ecept to win,but sitting on a hill defantly gives you a huge advantage,you can jsut charge cav in blindly,even heavy cav will route back vs some heavy inf,or line inf it takes more tactics then point to spam ie rome ,way more ..imo that is ;)

So then RTW is how much you can stab the shit out of the guy in front of you :P But if you do that French will always win, there inf is betetr at shooting, I've noticed its all about the bayonet charge with Russia.
