Received this from a friend in the Los Angeles area this morning:

"I'm emailing you to let you know what I heard on one of the LA smooth jazz radio stations today. They have a 'guest' dj spot for 1 hour on a Sunday night between 9 and 10pm and guess who they announced as a upcoming guest - Mick Hucknall, I guess maybe in about 2 weeks time, I'll let you know for sure when I hear myself. The show can be taped so it doesn't mean he will be in LA, I always wanted hime to be part of this program and he finally got asked! The radio web site is 947thewave.com and it has live internet radio on it so it can be heard worldwide and the person has one hour to play his favourite music and say why he likes it, it's not a interview show."

There may be some more good news to follow soon relating to this; right now it's just speculation and scuttlebutt. Will keep everyone posted. (Hint: keep an eye on the Mercedes-Benz WaveFest lineup...)

They've been playing the hell out of SR's music of late, apparently...SOMEBODY on this side of the water still knows 'em!!!

:D I would hope not...he's got some very hardcore, long-time fans here...what you see online is just a part of the fan base.

Shannon, would you mind letting us know when you have a definite date please? Hopefully it is while I'm at work and I can tune in via broadband. No use trying dial up at home.

Will definitely let you know when I hear anything definite, watch this thread for the info. I'm hoping I'm available then as well...off to my great-aunt's in a couple of weeks and her dial-up is murder slow as well!!!
So spoiled are we who have broadband... :oops:
