Following a chat with g0dpr0tect0r yesterday i decided to see how much joy i could have converting to vets. I got some interesting results that i thought i would share with you!
First point, every sailor i tried this on had a low number of vets to start off with 0 - 20
Second point stop trying as soon as you fail on a sailor and move on to the next one, its not worth killing all experts for vets!
I had success in every sailor i tried this on a minimum of 2 times and a maximum of 5 which led to making some 400 vets from 500 experts.
Crew tested on
Neut lvl 60 BO success 20 vets
Neut lvl 30 BO success 20 vets
lvl 60 KM gunners 40 & 20 vets
Assorted IJN and UK Support crew lvl 30 - 50 20 - 40 vets each
4 x IJN landing lvl 30ish 30 -40 each
Rookie pilots all nations assorted lvls 20 -40 on each
Jap BO lvl 60, 30 vets
I would suggest that everybody who has crew with no vets and more than 15 experts should have a go at converting ASAP as i expect this coversion rate to end fairly soon!

i converted all sailors without vets to 40 vets...
now your pilots have full ability dube ^^
