This piece is comming from a crashsite in Holland.
It has some numbers on it but most intresting is the arrow
directing to the nose and tail.
With my "technical knowledge :n110: " i think this is a hydraulic cilinder.
By pushing oil in the cilinder the rod is puched away end takes
the bar with teeth (i don't know the englisch word for it) with it.
This bar is attached to a toothed wheel and turns it.
It is for 100% sure this is from a B24H bomber.
I hope there is somebody who can tell me where it was used for
and maybe has a drawing or picture for me.

Hi,
it´s the gear rim of a nose / gear turett, used on B-24 Liberator.
The cylinder should be used for moving the turret / guns.
