To the Raidleaders
Firstly:
Thank you very much for your efforts, without u guys, we'd be nowhere.
Secondly:
There's always room for improvement, so lets get try do that.
Before Invites:
Try to throw in some reminders, so people know that there deiinitely will be a raid. Don't forget to include information about which bosses you're going to aim for. Example:
REMINDER: Invites for: Attumen, Moroes, Maiden in 60 / 45 / 30 / 15 Minutes
Invites
When time has come, tell it on the channel, so people do see it. Dont hesitate to use caps.
INVITING NOW for: Attumen, Moroes, Maiden; - Whisper me
When the whispers come in, dont invite people right away, but rather check which classes u need, which u dont before inviting them. People prefer not to get invites at all to getting invites and being kicked again (sorry bout that, did that today).
However, just invite the people you think are best for the raid. As we dont have any system that prefers some people over others, this is your only goal: Make the raid as smooth as possible. You dont have to explain to people why you chose someone and didnt invite someone else. Remember, no matter how you decide, some people will always stay outside the instance, so it's a no-win decision for u.
Assign a Master Looter and try fixing groups early, so everything is ready when you zone in. Make sure your Master Looter is familiar with the Loot rules.
During the raid
Remember, we're no hardcore raiding guild, we do take randoms now and then and we do have lots of alts with noobgear ;). So go over tactics now and then before bosses or difficult mobsgroups. You can use the standard macros I posted in the Tactics section.. just copy them to a .txt or paste them directly into the game.
But most important: relax. No one likes to get spammed with "ffs" raid shouts and it's no use for the raid.
Also, remember, that in the end, you're the only one to blame if things go wrong:
*You chose who gets invited
*You chose which bosses to attack
*You we're supposed to make sure people know what to do.
Much better to remain calm, consider advice from people in the raid and adjust ur tactics, than to blame someone.
After the Raid
Go to the Forum and post a Raid Attendance Thread ASAP!
Raidtracker from www.ctmod.net helps alot there
Include:
*Who was there (and please, check spelling, saves a lot of work for me)
*When was it
*Which bosses did you kill
*Who looted epics
Remember: Only people who joined before raid started and stayed for the whole raid will be awarded with dkp.
This is extremely important because when it comes to dkp, raiders are not very patient ;). If I get complaints about missing dkp and there is no post on the forum yet, I tell them to bug their raidleader. If there is a post on the forums, i tell them to stfu.
All for now
