Got a topic on my own forums that has had everyone bitching over this...
England and Brazil have best squads, depends on who can apply the talent to the field the best imo.
Even though Germany are at home they are fielding the weakest squad i think u will ever see by them in a wc...plus ballack may be out
USA suck and will hopefully get knocked out in the group stages as they are a waste of space :roll: :wink:
Italy and Spain are the dark horses as they have alot of youthful and unknown talent.
France are too old and too dependant on the "greats" from '98

We're playin in europe, which wiil suit us (we struggle in hot countries, ask a 10 man Brazil) we got 2 of the best midfielders playin at the moment (gerrard and lampard) a great defense, and a keeper that can actually catch, unlike sum of our previouse ones!! And if Rooney is fit, then well, they think its all over, it is now :D

I play every saturday morning for my Soccer Team "Vallence FC" Rag 8)
The game is my life, cant stop watching or playing it...had trials for Charlton when i was like 9-10 but nothing was achieved through that.
Frances squad is very....ill say dependable on the greats from '98. U must remember rag that in '02 they were knocked out very early and must now be feeling a huge amount of national pressure.
Being the arrogant frogs they are, they cant stand losing....Indeed they have a great team, but Englands is superior in every way apart from Mr Henrys position who Rooney would have filled :roll:

nah i am the most loving soccer peep on the forum :lol: , and i bet on brazil, ore argentina ore holland(one of those will survive the group, if argentina survives they win, if holland surviva they make a good chance vs brazil in the final)
engand isnt the engand team what it was of old times, italy is to defence vs to agressive teams this wk, other potential winners : south korea(they were really impressive in the friendly and comp matches), germany (homeland=almost always succes), france(final counter of zidane?), tjechie(good team with good players, very balanced, always a team who has the potential to win)
the rest dont got the strenght as those teams, but my first bet go to brazil, then argentina, then holland

First round has been finished, tim for a small summary. Taking into consideration only fovourites of WC:
Brazil - showed some great football and although they didn't have a great advantage, they confirmed being the most important candidate to get a gold medal. They've got a HUGE potential.
Argenitna - the match was great but Argentina disappointed me. They were very effective but they did not play well. They may have problems with getting the promotion to the Play-offs.
England - here it's really hard to say because after scoring the first goal they were concentrated on defending the lead. Next match should enlighten us a bit :wink:
Holland - great match, I always liked their possessions of the ball, their style is really great and nice to watch. They were dominating the game and hopefully they will go straight to the final :) Young team with a big potential. I'm waiting to see Babel and v.d. Vaart.
Germany - as for me Semi-final is what they can reach - nothing else. yesterday they defeated Poland but the draw was really close. Their biggest advantages are their stadiums.
Italy - I was a bit surprised because they played better than I expected. It's a tough team and catenaccio seems over for them - thanks to the heaven :)
Spain - I wish them best luck coz they deserve it after so many bad WC. They started fantastic and we can't forget that they've got superb midfielders (even as substitutes - vide Reyes ot Joaquin).
France - Ribery??? He is said to be second Zidane. Well, he played a trgic-comedy. With such a play France will not proceed to the Play-offs. They were lucky to get a draw.
Portugal - I appreciated their style, they controlled the game all the time. They may be a black horse of the tour as nobody expect them to do something serious in WC.

hmm, naiver good statistics, but in myopinion brazil played a bad match, argentina was strong, and dominating, but also seems we weak, cause ifory coast had so much chances en they broke the midfield easily.
Holland can make it, but only if they survive this group
England player not very well in my opinion, but i am used to dutch soccer, and their main purpuse isnt the score, but to have many chances and pressure the enemy.
Spain is a good team aswell, but if i bet on a suprise i bet on australie ore south korea, they are really underdogs, everybody know spain got some great soccer players.
France is the one i disliked most, very very bad, if i were a french, i would commit suicide and explode myself in the room were the team is eating, cause i cant live with such a bad team what is devided into several groups!
