Yippee ! Some Garrett frames are finally available . . . . . . and if you haven't figured it out, I've been amusing myself by making my friends glow on the news. Ok, back to the frames . . . .
There is going to multiple runs of the 06 Garrett frames finishing up over the next month or so. But the 1st of 3 groups has been completed. Because they are getting done in smaller runs, not everyone will have them yet, but if you are looking for one, it shouldn't be to hard to track down. The first batch was painted British Racing Green and Raw with Clearcoat. The next batch will have more green or Raw ones, and we are adding a vinatage looking Burnt Orange color.
Here are the final specs if you haven't seen them already.
top tube sizes : 20.5". 21". 21.25"
Headtube angle : 74.5 degrees
Seat tube angle : 71 degrees
Toptube and Downtube diameter : 1.5 inch
Seatstay and Chainstay diamerter : 7/8 "
Integrated headtube available that will accept the FLY "Guiri" tabs
Spanish Bottom Bracket
Rear end length: 13.75" - 14.25"
dropouts : 3/16 heat treated
Total weight: 5 lbs., 7 oz.
These took awhile to get done, but after seeing them, it was worth the wait. Cheers to Clint, Bill, and Peter down at Maas Specialties for making Garrett such a bad ass machine! But why in the world does it say GARRETT BYRNES' " Sweet Fuck All " ? Well, that's what Garrett wanted to call his bike. Our friend Haimona down in New Zealand introduced us to this term a few years back. Proabably because that's what we were doing most of the time in NZ, not much at all. Garrett = Never being in too much of a rush to do anything. It'll happen when it needs to. In the mean time, nothin' to do but S.F.A. ! . . . . .
