Frida and sport, dance or opera
Hello,
what is constant about Frida?
she loves experiences and going on the top of her possibilities like in sport, in dance or when she sung opéra.
this way to going over again & again is the proove that life's never end and that we have always a possibity.

I think he was just confused because he found himself in the wrong thread without knowing how he got there and decided he would rather like to go somewhere else instead. This happens to me also, sometimes. I wouldn't worry about it, Johnsteven.

Hi Pierre,
another example is that she always tries out new hairstyles. She always surprises with new looks. I enjoy that very much.

 Oh, she is very famous for it!
What you are talking about Pierre just shows that if she starts doing something, she brings it to a personal maximum. She obviously likes various things.
Frida was also a skilled seamstress. 8)

I think she just likes to live life to the max. Or at least just to like.
If she does something she wants to put 100% in it.
That's one of the things I admire in Frida, probably because I'm not like that

Have to disagree. I think 'Lemmon' knows EXACTLY what the gist is and was just being sarcastic...ok, so Pierre is French and his English may be a little 'off' at times but I understood what point he was making and I wouldn't have thought it would take a genius to work it out! He's a Frida fan and like all of us he is entitled to start up a topic about his idol if he so chooses! So, the 'Huh?' was in poor taste. (IMO)

Remember as well that at the time of Waterloo, Frida was doing lessons in English and French. And later she learned German. So apart from sports and music she was also into educating herself.
A psychologist once said that there were two types of people in the world, paddlers and drifters. The former were always looking to find new ways in which to adapt to the world and explore talents the latter just go with the flow. Frida definietly seems to be a paddler, which is the way to be, for as Bobby Dylan once said:"He who isnt busy being reborn is busy dying"

Good comparison, Con. I remember when I read the review of some ABBA albums, the authors sometimes accentuated that it can be heard in the songs of ABBA that Frida took some opera lessons. And I also have impression that Frida is a paddler - always looking for something new:
Independent and free,
and ambitious - that's me
Fighting for fame and success.

In an interview from ABBA time, Frida said she didn't play sports, except ballet. Nowadays she's an expert skier, but that's all. She was never good at sports.
On the other hand, it's truth she always liked dance. However, we should admit she never had a way with it as well. Frida herself said she only danced to do something different on stage, besides singing. Of course she was sweet and funny with her dances, but not handy with it.
And we should say the same about Anna.

Frida also used to be a keen golfer (I'm not sure how much she still plays), at on point her handicap was about 6.
She is also a keen hiker, and used to go ice climbing, although I think she just sticks to sking now. Gill

Fridoca, Frida has been skiing ever since 1975 or 76, or maybe even earlier.
If you've watched ABBA in Switzerland, you'll see she is an excellent skiier. Look at her heading fast down the slope, but that is not what's most important about it.
Her body position tells me she knows how to do it. Leaning forward, bent knees. That's how it should be done.
