On 12 September 2008 it was the premiere for "My Fair Lady" at Stockholm´s Oscarsteatern - with Helen Sjöholm as Eliza Dolittle and Tommy Körberg as Henry Higgins.
The critiques in different newspapers all state that Helen is the sparkling centre of the also otherwise fantastic performance.
Indeed, you get happy bubbles in your belly and want to see it again and again. Helen is fantastic also in the spoken parts (actually MANY spoken parts). She is a great singer AND actress. You really feel for her Eliza. You see and believe her development. It´s touching, and it´s funny.
And the end of "Jag kunde dansa så" ("I could have danced tonight") gives a flashback to the end of "Du måste finnas"...
Tommy is great, too, by the way.

And the premiere audience was pretty interesting. Just have a look at the first two photos in this link:

In a quick newspaper interview Benny said that he was there for Helen and Tommy - so that they have a fan in the audience to support them.
Well, there were a few more fans, also one or another from this site... Winken

I LOVED it! And I´m so glad I have more tickets, i.e. something to look forward to.
The autumn season is sold out completely and also in the spring only a few tickets are left. Helen & Co. attract the crowds...

Oh, they called Benny "Bjorn Andersson" in the photo. I don't understand the words, but I didn't see the name "Mona" in the photo; is that her in the photo?

I saw a car today with a license plate that said "SHO HOM." I have no idea what it meant, but that's how I pronounce Helen's name (even though Nick has tried to correct me timid

).

And yes, they all looked great. Benny even came in a black suit! And in a very cool shirt. My fave teddy bear looked pretty elegant.

Ooooh, I know what you mean! I haven´t completely landed yet either. It´s amazing how it pumps you up with endorphines, adrenalin, energy, joy - and the irresistable wish to meet Helen and THANK her..... I´m so glad we were there. That´s again an emotional overflow that´ll stay for a long time and lift us up in everyday life.
And yes, it was big fun to meet you all (again). Smilie

I can´t find any info about a cd being released but I hope one is planned even though I haven´t seen the show yet. Helen Sjöholm and Tommy Körberg sell many records here and i´m sure a cd of the musical would be appreciated by many.

Yes especially since Helen at least partly holds the record for the longest running Svensktoppen-entry ever. So obviously, if there are so many people who love to her singing the same song over and over again there will also be quite a few wo want to listen to new stuff.
