I know he's already composed some film music, such as for the Swedish movie "Songs From The Second Floor" a few years ago.
Recently, though, Benny has intimated in a few interviews that he would be very interested to continue composing music for feature film soundtracks. I sincerely hope he is invited to do so by film-makers.
We already know he can compose some sublime music. A good example of what beautiful instrumental pieces he's capable of include his work for the Swedish film I mentioned above; those three classical movements in the track, "Klinga mina clockor"; and the intro/prologue medley which is the first track from the 3 cd set of "Kristina fran Duvemala". All of them beautiful.
I don't know with certainty which film-soundtrack composers Benny admires - though I would be surprised if Benny was not already a great fan of, as well as inspired by, such very prolific, epic film-music maestros such as these next three:
Ennio Morricone:
(and this next one sounds very much like Benny's style of music, if you ask me)
I really hope that Benny will find time to write some film scores for me in the not too distant future. . He's so talented. I'm hoping his enthusiasm about working on the soundtrack to "MM!" will spur him on to working with some top film-makers and film projects.
That would be very good. But you don't mean the theme itself (which is always the same and has never changed), do you? You mean the new pop-song that's written for each Bond film, to go with the end credits or the opening credits, don't you? That'd be great, especially if he got Helen to sing it.
Though what I'm really talking about is the entire soundtrack - every note - written by Benny, from the tiniest squeak of a violin, to the biggest dramatic orchestral flourishes which accompany each and every part of a film's story (wherever music is appropriate, that is).
I wish Benny would undertake a huge film project of the grandest scale!
A pop song written by Benny for the next Bond film would be fantastic, of course, but an entire film score would be out-of-this-world terrific!

Great idea.
Just as long as he doesn't SING the theme tune as well...

MAMMA MIA!
Thanks Kerymary, I didn't realise he'd done so many.
But I would be surprised if any of the scores he's written are as majestic and romantic as what he has proved he is capable of today. I would like him to write symphonic music for epic films using a whopping huge orchestra, as Ennio Morricone, Maurice Jarre, John Williams and others have done. Something of the scale and grandeur of "Kristina" and the second and third movements of "Klinga mina klockor", but for film.
I am glad that it was new information in my remark. I have much information, but I am afraid to write because my English is so poor.
I welcome all members with affection, and I would like to be the useful member of this community
I will be brave then. From the above film list I watched four films in the evenings on this week. I'm Benny's big fan.
Did you see him in "The Mamma Mia Story"? This is my favourite now.
