Yes it's a good day out and people start to arrive by about 12. Don't worry about being on time as people natter, chat and eat until late in the afternoon. Then a general tidy up and some start their pub crawl while others find trains, etc.
Here's some pictures http://www.geocities.com/charlieap/abmp05.html from a few years ago.
Cheers Charlie |

You would also see beside Maxi's story another astonishing article: "Man flies to London - Without Wings!"

I might turn up and give you all a shock
I'll be the devastatingly handsome dude wearing ray bans and an ABBA T shirt getting admiring looks from passers by...

Wasn't aware of this one... bought my flight for London yesterday - for Sunday June 29th...
Ah well....
I'll be outside the Odeon on June 30, and I guess that'll be the very highlight!!

I'm looking forward for the picnic! But unfortunately, I didn't win a ticket to the Mamma Mia movie premier... |

News on dutch fanclub site:
"London ABBA Picnic - MM! Soundtrack Early
This year's picnic for ABBA fans takes place on Saturday, the 28th June, in London's St. James's Park. With the picnic just days before the Mamma Mia! film premiere, it should become a very big international party. Please click on this link to download further information (rtf document).
The good news is that it is supposed to be dry on Saturday, so we will go for the picnic rather than the pubnic option, if possible at all, watch this space for further info.
The REALLY BRILLIANT NEWS is that Universal have donated some great items, including soundtrack CDs well before they are officially released anywhere! If you want to get one, come along, and win one of them in our competition.
If you have a problem downloading the document, please mail us: Londonabbapicnic@hotmail.co.uk" |
